About Our Services
Oak Harbor Finance provides preliminary eligibility screening and insurance brokerage services for life insurance and mortgage protection insurance. We are operated by Russell Powers, a licensed insurance producer in Missouri.
Not a Government Program
Our products and services are:
- NOT required by your mortgage lender
- NOT part of any government program
- NOT connected to FHA, VA, USDA, or any federal agency
- NOT a replacement for Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI)
Licensing Information
Russell Powers holds Missouri Insurance Producer License #3003556164. We are licensed to sell insurance products in the State of Missouri only.
Preliminary Screening Only
Our eligibility assessments are preliminary screenings only. They are:
- NOT insurance applications
- NOT guarantees of coverage
- NOT binding offers
- NOT approvals for insurance
Final eligibility, coverage amounts, premium rates, and policy benefits are determined solely by insurance carriers through their underwriting process.
Living Benefits
Some policies offer optional accelerated death benefit riders (living benefits) that may allow access to a portion of the death benefit for terminal, chronic, or critical illness conditions. These benefits are:
- Subject to underwriting approval
- Determined by carrier-specific terms and conditions
- Not available on all policies
- May reduce the death benefit payable to beneficiaries
Health Information
Health information collected during our screening process is used for eligibility purposes only. Insurance carriers may require additional medical records, phone interviews, or medical examinations during their underwriting process.
Carrier Selection
As an independent broker, Oak Harbor Finance represents multiple insurance carriers. Recommendations are based on your individual situation, needs, and the products available from our carrier partners.
